Terms of Service

Last Updated: August 23, 2026

Welcome to Chamber of Chapters. These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of the Chamber of Chapters website and your purchase of products through our online store.

By accessing or using our website or placing an order, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree with these Terms, please do not use our website or place an order.

1. About Chamber of Chapters

Chamber of Chapters is an online book and literary goods business offering products including Blind Date with a Book experiences, hanging floral book decor, book charms, and other book-related products.

We reserve the right to update, modify, add, or discontinue products and services at any time.

2. Eligibility

Customers must be 18 years of age or older, or have the permission and involvement of a parent or legal guardian to make a purchase.

We do not require customers to complete an age-verification process before placing an order.

By using our website or placing an order, you represent that you meet the applicable age requirement or have the permission of a parent or legal guardian.

3. Products and Product Information

We make reasonable efforts to ensure that product descriptions, photographs, pricing, availability, and other information displayed on our website are accurate.

However, product colors and appearances may vary depending on your device or screen settings.

Because many Chamber of Chapters products are handmade, curated, or created with unique and limited-quantity materials, the books, colors, charms, flowers, greenery, materials, placement, and overall appearance of the item you receive may vary slightly from product photographs. Product photographs are representative examples and do not guarantee an identical arrangement or combination of materials. These natural and handmade variations are not considered defects.

We reserve the right to correct errors, inaccuracies, or omissions and to update product information at any time without prior notice.

Product availability may change without notice.

4. Blind Date with a Book

Blind Date with a Book products are designed to provide customers with a surprise reading experience.

When purchasing a Blind Date with a Book, the customer selects the genre or reading preference they would like to receive. Chamber of Chapters selects the specific book.

The title of the book is intentionally kept a mystery.

Customers should not expect to receive a particular title, author, or specific book unless otherwise stated in the product description.

Chamber of Chapters will make reasonable efforts to select a book that fits the customer's selected genre or preferences.

Customers may optionally provide a Goodreads profile link to help Chamber of Chapters identify books that appear in their existing reading history and reduce the likelihood of sending a duplicate.

Providing a Goodreads profile does not guarantee that a duplicate book will never be selected.

Because the purpose of a Blind Date with a Book is to discover a surprise story, a customer's dislike of or dissatisfaction with the selected book does not qualify as a product defect or entitle the customer to a refund or exchange, except as provided in our Refund & Return Policy.

5. Product Availability

We make reasonable efforts to maintain accurate inventory information.

If a product becomes unavailable after an order is placed, or if an inventory error prevents us from fulfilling an order, Chamber of Chapters may cancel the affected order or affected portion of the order.

If we cancel an order because the product is unavailable, the customer will receive a refund for the amount paid for the canceled product or order, as applicable.

6. Pricing and Pricing Errors

All prices displayed on the website are subject to change without notice.

We reserve the right to correct pricing errors, including errors caused by technical issues, system errors, typographical errors, or other mistakes.

If an order is placed for a product that was listed at an incorrect price, Chamber of Chapters may cancel the order and provide a refund of any amount paid for that order.

We will make reasonable efforts to notify the customer if an order is canceled because of a pricing error.

7. Orders and Order Acceptance

Placing an order through our website constitutes an offer to purchase the selected products.

An order confirmation indicates that we have received your order request. It does not necessarily mean that Chamber of Chapters has accepted the order or guarantees that the order will be fulfilled.

We reserve the right to refuse, cancel, or limit an order for reasons including:

  • Product availability or inventory errors
  • Pricing errors
  • Suspected fraudulent or unauthorized activity
  • Incorrect customer information
  • Shipping limitations
  • Errors in the order
  • Other circumstances that prevent us from reasonably fulfilling the order

If we cancel an order after payment has been received, we will issue a refund for the canceled order or affected portion of the order.

8. Payment

All purchases must be paid in full at checkout.

Chamber of Chapters does not currently offer installment payment or buy-now-pay-later options.

Payment processing is handled through Shopify and/or payment providers available through our Shopify checkout.

We do not guarantee the continued availability of any particular payment method.

9. Shipping

Chamber of Chapters currently ships to addresses within the United States.

Orders are generally processed within 3–5 business days before being handed to the shipping carrier.

Shipping costs are calculated at checkout.

Orders are shipped using USPS Ground Advantage.

For complete information regarding processing, shipping, tracking, delivery, incorrect addresses, and delivered packages, please review our Shipping Policy.

10. Returns, Refunds, and Damaged or Incorrect Items

Chamber of Chapters does not accept general returns or exchanges.

Refunds or replacements may be available for qualifying damaged or incorrect items in accordance with our Refund & Return Policy.

Customers must report qualifying damaged or incorrect items within 7 calendar days of the date the order was marked as delivered and provide the required proof.

Please review our Refund & Return Policy for complete requirements and procedures.

11. Customer Accounts and Guest Checkout

Customers may complete purchases without creating a customer account.

If customer accounts are made available through the website, customers may choose to create and use an account, but an account will not be required to complete a purchase.

Customers are responsible for maintaining the accuracy and security of information associated with any account they create.

12. Customer-Submitted Content

By submitting content, you grant Chamber of Chapters permission to use, reproduce, display, publish, and share that content for business, promotional, marketing, or website purposes, without additional compensation, unless otherwise agreed.

Chamber of Chapters may choose whether or not to publish submitted content and may remove content that we determine is inappropriate or inconsistent with our business.

Third-party services are governed by their own terms and policies.

Chamber of Chapters is not responsible for the content, policies, availability, or practices of third-party websites or services that we do not control.

16. Website Availability and Errors

We strive to keep our website accurate, available, and functioning properly. However, we do not guarantee that the website will always be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or available.

We may temporarily suspend or restrict access to the website for maintenance, updates, technical issues, security concerns, or other operational reasons.

17. Limitation of Liability

To the extent permitted by applicable law, Chamber of Chapters will not be responsible for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or other damages arising from the use of our website or products when such limitations are permitted by law.

18. Indemnification

To the extent permitted by applicable law, you agree to be responsible for losses or claims arising from your unlawful use of the website, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of another person's rights.

This provision does not require you to indemnify Chamber of Chapters for matters where such an obligation would be prohibited by applicable law.

19. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Kansas, without regard to its conflict-of-law principles, except to the extent that applicable law requires otherwise.

Nothing in these Terms is intended to deprive consumers of rights or protections that cannot legally be waived under applicable law.
